by Rebecca Ivey $1.50 (SALE) I was going to die here; I could feel it in my bones. I was suddenly overcome with the forbidding sensation that something dreadful and lurid was hiding in these mountains. Wendigo is a mythological creature or evil spirit which first originated from Native American legends specifically, among the Algonquian people. It is a malevolent spirit associated with gluttony, cannibalism, and similar unpleasant conditions. The wendigo is often said to be a malicious spirit, sometimes depicted as a creature with human-like characteristics, which possesses human beings. The wendigo is known to invoke feelings of insatiable greed/hunger, the desire to cannibalize other humans, as well as the propensity to commit murder in those that fall under its influence.
